As a result of an accident on Friday 8 February 2019, aged 85. Dearly loved husband of Beryl. Loved father and father-in-law of Marlene and Lawrie, Karen and Mark, Sheryl and Les, respected step-father of Suzanne and Graeme, Robyn and Garry, Denese, and the late Wayne. Loving Grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations to Taranaki Cancer Society would be appreciated and maybe left at the service. A service to celebrate Des' life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 172 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Friday 15 February 2019 at 1.00pm, then moving to the Awanui Cemetery.

Sad to read of Des's passing I remember on some evenings Des would play the piano accordion and the sound would carry to Nev Julian and he would play his accordion too Great memories Neville Salisbury
