Desmond MOORE Obituary

MOORE, Desmond Ross (Des). - Passed away peacefully at Rhapsody Life Care Rest Home on 28th July 2014 in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Colleen Joan for 65 years. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Bev and Gordon Lyford. Brother of Zeta, Iris, Freda, Percy and Garth (all deceased). Brother-in-law to Gary and Carol Revell, the late Pat and George Fleming, Ron and Sandy Revell and the late Jocelyn. Uncle and Great Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages can be sent to the Moore Family, C/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth. Des' family and his two dearest friends Rob and Colin would like to thank Kay and her staff from Rhapsody Life Care for their wonderful care and dedication given to Des.
A service to celebrate Des' life will be held in The Taranaki Cathedral Church of St. Mary's, 37 Vivian Street, New Plymouth on Friday 1st August, 2014, at 11.00am. Cremation to follow at the Taranaki Crematorium, Junction Road, New Plymouth.

MOORE, Desmond Ross. — The Vintage Car Club of NZ (inc) Taranaki Branch wish to acknowledge the passing of their Past Chairman, Past Secretary, Past Newsletter Editor and 50 year membership award member. Des was a respected club member and friend to many over the last 52 years. He has organised many car trials and road rallies. We will miss his tremendous contribution and knowledge of vehicles.
