Fond memories of our wonderful whitebaiting friend. Always a laugh to be enjoyed. Only Mel would put sausages in a thermos then be unable to get them out for lunch on the riverbank! R.I.P. friend. Val Walsh Invercargill (ex New Plymouth)

Thinking of you all with the passing of this wonderful man. We remember him with fondness...great stories and much laughter..we always felt welcomed by him. Just recently he told me " Sylvia played golf with your mother and i drank beer with your father"! What a life he lived. Truly courageous and ever humble. With kind wishes, The Burke girls, Cheryl, Elizabeth,Helen
