Robert BUTLER Obituary

BUTLER, Robert Kevin:
It is with great sadness we announce that Rob passed away at home on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 60 years of age, after a well fought battle with cancer. Loved and loving husband of Wendy, loved Father and Father-in-Law of Josh and Anna (London) and Sam (Melbourne) and Step-Father of Laura and Gemma. Adored Grandad of Isaac (London) and Grandad Rob of Jayden and Chloe. Loved and will be greatly missed by Pip the dog and Bluey the cat. Adored Son of the late Fred & Vey Butler and Brother and Brother-in-Law of Graeme & Glenys, Neil, Allan & Debbie and Murray & Frances. Respected Son-in-Law of Barry & Wynn Bishop. Respected mate to all his Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Rob lived his life with gusto, travelled and lived overseas, loved the outdoors, took notice of the colours of the sky and land around him, loved photography, swimming in rivers, cycling, running, skiing and always had numerous projects on the go. He was a clever talented man who could turn his hand to anything. He loved discovering new places and would see things that others would overlook. He had a group of great mates who all enjoyed his sharp wit and friendship through the years, he liked nothing better than a yarn and a beer with his mates. He was a kind, loving, thoughtful, caring husband and we had lots of laughs even through the challenging times. His smile was delightful and I am going to miss my broad shouldered wonderful man. Thank you Rob for all you have given of yourself to enrich our lives.
Love you.
According to Rob's wishes he has been cremated and we will have a gathering at a later date to share memories and to celebrate his life.

Dear Wendy, & the Butler boys - Graeme, Neil, Allan & Murray. I'm sooo sad that Rob lost his battle with cancer. I was devastated when he told me of his diagnosis & then prognosis. I didn't meet his boys, but they are far too young to have lost both parents. Sometimes life is just too harsh. Thanks Wendy for supporting Rob in these last few years. My thoughts are with you all.
