MELLS, Ron:
14.12.1929 - 21.01.2017
Passed away peacefully after a short illness. Much loved, admired and respected father of Jon, Keryn, Jillian and Farrel, and Lianne and Jum. Adored grandad Ron to Ellen, Kayla, Jack, Levi, Cheeks, and Gareth. Great-grandad to Ashton, Felix, and Phoenix. Brother of the late Dick and the late Ken, all sons of Richard and Grace. Companion of Shona, and friend to many. Ron will be at home until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Taranaki would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages may be sent to 315 Mangorei Road, New Plymouth, or posted online at www.heavenaddress.com A celebration of Ron's life will be held at the Holy Trinity Church, 12 Henui Street, Fitzroy, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 12.30pm, followed by a private cremation.

Memories of Ron and family gatherings when I first met and wed brother Ken, the shop in Fitzroy where Grace helped out and then the Supermarket. Ron's big interest in Indoor Basket ball. Sad news for all his family. Love Judi Nausbam.

Sorry not to be with you all as you mourn the loss of Ron. I saw him as a loving, kind, gentle man who lived life to the full. He'll be having a good catch-up with Dick and Ken now, as Grace and Richard look on lovingly.
