Alan AYSON Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 9 January 2021, at Eldon Lodge, Paraparaumu, aged 88. Dearly loved husband of Daphne. Loved father and father-in-law of Robert & Catherine, Carly (Cathryn) & James, Sarah & Brian, and Sally. Dear friend of Samantha and Charlie (his pets). In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance (www.wfa.org.nz/donate) are welcome. The family wish to thank Eldon Lodge for their wonderful and compassionate care of Alan. A service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at St Luke's Anglican Church, Elizabeth Street, Waikanae, at 11.00am on Friday, 15 January 2021, followed by private cremation. So sad to hear of Alan's passing. We remember your wit and intelligence and sense of fun in our over the fence conversations and in our visits. We are grateful for the care you and Daphne took of our pet Lucy and in the emergency steps you both took to rescue our home when it flooded while we were on holiday. Thank you for your kindness and warmth always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Daphne and your family as you move through these sad days. We are very sorry we can't attend the service on Friday as we will be out of town. Much love. Nicky and Graeme from next door.
