Alan JOYCE Obituary
Peacefully on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 at Whanganui Hospital, aged 82 years. Loved husband of the late Dorothy. Loved father and father-in-law of Mike and Chris, Blair and Sarah, and Grant and Lucy, and stepfather of Karen and Dean, and Megan. Loved Grandad/Al to his 10 grandchildren. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Lynette and Robert McCormack, and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Broadview Lifecare for their exceptional care of Alan. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Alan's life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui, on Tuesday 29th November 2022 at 1.00pm, to be followed by a private cremation.

I have lovely memories of Alan when he was my father Howie's drinking buddy when we lived at Mokoia. Alan always had a story to tell & enjoyed a good laugh.

To Mike ,Blair , Grant and partners, Lynette, Robert and family. Our deepest condolences on the sad passing of Alan. Although I haven`t seen Alan for many years I always remembered when we were kids the annual holidays at Ngamotu beach and going for early morning swims visiting Ohawe beach and later in Hawera, Alan seemed to have a knack of making a brew out of plumbs, parsnip, feijoas.
