I have visions of Burt in his black referee's
uniform...he was an enthusiastic man, who along with Toni were the bedrock of Football in New Plymouth. Toni made all the uniforms for the Westown primary school team I was in with Rod and she won us a championship as our coach. Burt helped with the coaching and I remember him as a huge support for Toni in helping our team win (around 1973) Lynmouth Park- nil all draw -3 goal shoot out each team...I scored the only goal!!! Toni damned near smothered me as she was hugging me so hard- Both fondly remembered - Very sadly missed - Regards to Mandy, Rod and Mike - Chris Lind
