Alison SCOWN Obituary


Passed away peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Thursday 17th April 2025, aged 70 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Bruce and Judith Scown. Treasured sister of Les, Karen, Neil, Colin, Lynette, and their families. Cherished member of the Idea Services family.

A service to celebrate Alison's life will be held in the South Taranaki Funeral Services Chapel, 268 High Street, Hawera, on Tuesday 22nd April at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

We were very sorry to hear of Ali's passing. She lived a long life and was always a cheerful person to talk to. We hadn't seen her for many years but I know her family loved and valued her.

I remember Alison from IHC days at Davies Rd workshop. My brother Michael Pool was also there. Our family has great memories of those days, and I can clearly recall Alison with her cheeky smile and lovely nature that drew people to her. She would have touched many peoples hearts.
