Alison SCOWN Obituary

We were very sorry to hear of Ali's passing. She lived a long life and was always a cheerful person to talk to. We hadn't seen her for many years but I know her family loved and valued her.

I remember Alison from IHC days at Davies Rd workshop. My brother Michael Pool was also there. Our family has great memories of those days, and I can clearly recall Alison with her cheeky smile and lovely nature that drew people to her. She would have touched many peoples hearts.

Sincere condolences to the Scown family and the Idea Services family. Alison was a real neat character great personality and conversationist. When Opunake Idea Services was closed, the likes of Alison her friends and all the staff left our community with great memories to cherish. Alison you were a dear special lady to many. So sorry to read of Alison's passing. Always remember her laughing with Dad (Malcom Borrie) when he delivered the groceries to your Mum and Dad's place or when she came into the shop.

Sorry to hear of Alison's passing this past week. I remember meeting her a number of times over the years through my late brother Leonard (Sept.1978) and your parents who bought honey off my late parents (Alex and Gwen Harris). From Brian Harris, formerly of Hawera now in Katikati.
