I had the privilege to grow up with Andrew. Our adventures over both of our farms in the hunt for treasure mostly in the form of old glass bottles, to the tennis matches after school while we waited for the bus. Always getting beaten to the orange rod in the sprints at athletics day at primary school. I am glad to have been your mate in this time of your life, our lives went separate ways after school but I will always have our childhood memories RIP Andrew

Condolences to the Hignett family for the passing of Andrew. May he play hockey in heaven as he played at school and Club. I remember the huge understanding that we had when he was young and as captain we won the Taranaki high school competition. He was proud and the team and myself followed. May he rest in peace I really appreciate the memories he gave. Thanks for the memories I am sure he would be proud of what he achieved.

Drew and I worked together in the south and I will always be grateful for the support he gave me when I first came to Taranaki. He became a respected, valued and much liked colleague over that time and this continued into our separate work in 'private'.
I know, from many shared clients, how liked he was in his practice and how much they all appreciated his skills and kindness. That is rare.
He is and will continue to be missed by many of us in the mental health field. A very special person.

To Nicola and family, I´m so sorry to hear about Drew. He was part of the Allied Health Leads´ team at Taranaki Base Hospital when I met him. He had a generous and open way about him and was great at his job. So sad to lose such a wonderful human. My condolences.
