Anne SMITH Obituary

On 7 July 2023, in her 81st year, peacefully at the Te Rangimarie Hospice, surrounded by family after a brave 10-month journey with pancreatic cancer. A very much-loved wife of Ross (for over 56 years); Mum and mother-in-law of Michael & Chris, Louise & Richard, Jonathan & Megan; Nanna of Ben, Gabrielle, Olivia, James, Joanne and Daniel; sister and sister-in-law of Brian (dec) & Marie, Colin & Marie, Cyril & Ruth; Aunty to her nieces and nephews; and friend to many!  We want to thank all the medical staff who cared for Anne during her illness, with a special mention to the lovely Hospice staff who visited her at home and cared for her during her final days and Dr Vivienne Law. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Taranaki or the Taranaki Cathedral may be left at the service. Messages to the Smith Family may be left on Anne's tribute page at eagars.co.nz/anne. A service to celebrate Anne's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth, on Wednesday 12 July 2023 at 10.30am. Please feel comfortable wearing colour; it was a big part of her life! For those unable to attend, Anne's funeral will be livestreamed via her tribute page.

Dear Ross
Peter has just emailed me regarding Anne. So sorry to hear of Anne´s passing. I recall the Morris being parked in the garage on your wedding day and Anne telling me how Viv broke her arm when Anne and Viv were playing on the trees across the street from Anne´s home back in the 1950´s.
Please pas my condolences to your family.
Regards
Chris Stringer
