Arthur GIBSON Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur (Willie) at Taranaki Base Hospital, surrounded by family, on 14 November 2024. Devoted husband of the late Shirley (née Harrison). Treasured father to Brendon. Beloved son of Tansie and Arthur (both deceased). Cherished brother of Ron (dec), Doug (dec), James, and Bernard. Dearly loved brother-in-law to Pauline, Noeline, Patsie, Jude, Jane, and Loise. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the paramedics and all the staff at Taranaki Base Hospital for their care and support over the past few months. A service to celebrate Willie's life will be held at The Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon St East, New Plymouth, on Monday 18 November at 10.30am, followed by an interment at Rahotu Cemetery at 2.00pm.

Sincere condolences to the Gibson family who were our neighbours to our Manihi Road, Rahotu farm when we were growing up as kids. We went to many local events with the boys, not to mention sharing the school bus stop with the Gibson boys on our country road. Treasured memories. RIP Willie.
