Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Sunday 4th February 2018, aged 79 years. Loved husband of Alison for 48 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Megan and John Howes (Invercargill) and Kirsty and Mike Goble (Bell Block). Grandad of Oliver and Patrick Howes.

To Alison and Family, it is with Sadness that I read of Barry's passing. We spent many years together in the Airport Crash Fire and Rescue Service. Some good times and Memories. Lets hope he finds a good Trout fishing spot. Our Sincere Sympathy Bill and Colleen Bird.
