Although many years have passed Betty was always loved by the Thwaites whanau. Her infectious laugh and smile will always be cherished by us. Rest in peace with Ron. All our love Fred, Frances, Robert and Michelle Thwaites

We are very sorry we could not be there at Waioturi for Aunty Betty at her passing. I shall always remember her as a child of Otautu in times past.
We will always be grateful to her for the many gentle things she taught us and we are very sad we will not have her there for a korero any more. Our aroha to all the family

To Sharyn and family,our love goes out to you at this time, and we are going to miss all the chats we had with her. Betty came out with us a few times and had a ball each time. I know that Louie will miss her as well, as she spent a lot of time with betty, and loved greeting us at the gate, but betty is at rest now, and Gods love is with you all sorry that we cant make it to her funeral, but our thoughts are with you all. Porter and Harper Builders worked at the Marae a few years back and Betty was one of the trustee's.
I used to look forward to the informal chats after the meeting and was fascinated with her local knowledge and history of times gone by.
A truly amazing woman.
