Happy memories of Wiremu Place with the Murphy family and of Nurse Betty looking after me while having my babies in Weston Maternity. A lovely lady now at rest.

To Betty,s loving family our thoughts and hearts are with you all at this sad time. Betty was a great friend to my wife Merle for many years when she lived in Wiremu Place and it was a pleasure to have also known her on her Sunday visits out to our home along with the baking she made. A very special mother and grand mother to you all. RIP

Very sad news. Betty was a lovely lady. I lived next door to her for many years on wiremu place. I would see her nearly every day tending to her beautiful gardens. I would walk down to check the mail and end up chatting with her for at least half a hour at a time. Her capsicum relish was legendary, I still have the recipe she gave me for it. Condolences to her family, thinking of you all at this sad time.

I have very fond memories of working with Betty in Maternity on night shifts Always the most difficult shift but when working with Betty it was much more pleasant She was kind gentle and hard working loved by staff and patients rest well Betty

Sincere condolences to Sue, Colin, Shelia, and all the family. Aunty Betty was a wonderful person, who really took great care of Kim when the girls were born. Kim still talks about how well Aunty Betty looked after her in the maternity ward. No doubt my mum Edie, Aunty Helen, and Aunty Gloria, will be given her the rundown on how it all works. A wonderful lady who will be sadly missed. Thinking of you all, Love to all the family from Kenny, Kim, Hayley, Courtney and our Family in Perth.
