Betty SIMMONS Obituary

Lorraine and I live in Western Australia and were unaware Bett had left us. We tried to phone her toady for her Birthday and phone could not be connected and now we know why.
Love to the family as we both enjoyed Jim and Betts Company while living in South Australia and also here in WA

Hi Mark and Ian,
My father died last year and Bet rang our family during the week after his death. I hadn't spoken to Bet for possibly 40 years and it was like yesterday. Voice the same, laugh the same, and very happy to catch me up with all the news. I was very sad to hear of the death of your Dad, Jim. A long partnership at an end. Mum and Dad had lost contact with Bet and Jim after they settled in Tauranga and I was touched that Bet rang. Thank goodness for the land line. We spoke for about 20 minutes and I wanted to share my appreciation and enjoyment of speaking to her. Old age does get to be a struggle as she shared with me. Rest in peace Bet.
