Beulah Thomas Obituary

Our loving mother and grandmother, Beulah Delois Burns Thomas, was born to the late Charlie Williams Burns, Sr. and Izora Coleman Burns on September 5, 1932, in Harrison County.
She departed this life on February 20, 2025.
She attended Rollins School and Negro High School.
Beulah was baptized at an early age and was faithful and devoted herself to Christ at Rollins Church of Christ until her health failed.
She was married to Willie Thomas on April 5, 1964. To this union 3 children were born. She was a mother of eight children.
She enjoyed serving the Lord and singing church hymns. She enjoyed making quilts and cooking.
Growing up on a farm she continued her love for fresh vegetables, like picking and shelling peas, and picking greens.
She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Beulah Jane Henry and Estella Joyce Halton; 3 brothers, CW Burns, Lucillius Burns and Charlie Burns, Sr.; 5 sisters, Virtia Mae Burns, Izora Lee Crain, Charlsie Burns Watkins, Betty Ray Burns Crosby and Henrietta Moore.
Beulah leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 60 years, Willie Thomas; 4 daughters, Gloria Washington, Ginger Herd (James), Vanessa Thomas and Mary Bryant; 3 sons, Phillip Burns, Sr., Wilburn C. Thomas, and Edward C. Thomas (Marilyn), 35 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Grace Burns Daniels; and a brother, MacArthur Burns; 3 sisters-in-law; Betsy Russell, Gloria Dean Burns, and Sally Mae Thomas; and one brother-in-law, Robert Thomas; and a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
