It was very shocking and saddening to read online a couple of days ago that Blair had been killed in a workplace accident in the UK. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of grieving and probably asking a lot of questions about what happened and why. I hope in time that you can focus on the delightful, humorous and fun Blair that we knew.
It only seems the other day he was a school student coming to his lessons. I remember him as a friendly, chatty and slightly mischievous young person. He was a very musical student, playing both guitar and flute as well as having a beautiful voice which we heard when he sang at Table restaurant.
Blair would come early enough for his lesson so he could have a ginger beer in the kitchen with Ruth while she was getting dinner. He was always respectful and able to concentrate on his music. My daughter Sharon was his accompanist when he performed for exams or in public. Musically they gelled together, and Blair reached the top grade.
He always gave of his best, and we are certain his enthusiasm, strong work ethic and genuine interest in people shone through in all he did. Since those days, I haven´t come in contact with him but I can see him making a life with his wife and children, and we pray for them too.
We have such lovely memories of your young man.

We remember your beautiful son Blair, or as we called him " Campbell" when he was in the NZ Army with our son Elliot. Blair was a regular visitor to our home and we feed him many times, Listen to his stories, he played his guitar for us and we shared lots of laughs.
