Brian ECCLESHALL Obituary

Local Bowls legend and world class sarcastic pr*ck has left the building. Now the rest of us might win a raffle! Hāwera comedian and waitress-terroriser is now having a wine with his soulmate Bronwen. Brian passed peacefully and comfortably at home with family Monday 16th March 2026. Much loved father of Michelle and Kathryn, Poppa B of Donovan, Adelyn, Alice, Timothy and Cason. Brother, Uncle, In-law and friend to so many. I hope he left us something since this is getting long . . . A memorial service will be held on Tuesday 24th March at 1.00pm at Tairoa Lodge Puawai Street, Hawera. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter http://www.taranakirescue.org.nz

Brian was quick witted, with a dry sense of humour that brought quiet smiles to those around him. Incredibly generous, always supporting local fundraising without hesitation and more often than not walking away with a raffle prize or two. -he never missed the chance to give a cheerful shout when he won.
Brian and Bronwen were a great team and it´s easy to imagine them organising tree plantings and finding ways to upgrade the gardens, just as they always did.
Condolences to the family
RIP
