Bruce HERBERT Obituary

Condolences to rae and Bruce's kids and wider family on his passing. First met Bruce in 1991 when I went out there pighunting. I met Sarah and i think Simon. I hunted out there for several years. Bruce and Rae would put me up .I enjoyed the yarning .Bruce had quite an extensive knowledge of the bush out there and often gave me valuable information as well as the history. Bruce hosted Taranaki sar for training exercises and was consulted about missing hunters out tanga. No more sheep to shear rest up mate. Chiz and Karin

So sorry to see that Bruce has gone, I used to love his visits to the yard to talk bulldozers and diggers but I enjoyed calling in to see him at Tangarakau even more. See ya Brucie

Another Marco schoolfriend, and Kohuratahi, later Tangarakau, resident has left us. Not just a school friend, but a friend for many years. Condolences to Bruce's family, from Marion (aka Chick).

Condolences To the family. Rest in peace Bruce. Will never forget You and Joan where I enjoyed many a lunch and smoko with you both down Tangarakau when I was your stock agent 50 years ago. Enjoyable times, the old FCOS. days, No red tape or regulaters. You were the sole residents by the old township and farmed the valley.
