John SCLATER Obituary

I worked with John at Royal & Sun Alliance / Asteron. He was a funny, nice bloke to work with, and very popular.
I remember taking him up Mt Wainui once, and allowed him to lead on the way down. He kept wandering off the trail, and when I got him back on about the fourth time, I realised that he couldn't see the coloured markers. We had a great laugh.

Maxine and family, I was shocked and saddened to read of your recent loss of John. As an ex-neighbour, our association of around 35yrs brings up many special and funny memories. In more recent years our interactions have been infrequent, but always accompanied by laughter and good will. John was a special person, with great intellect and wit. I am so sad for the huge hole he will leave in your hearts and lives, and will miss his familiar presence in our community.
