Carol Ann MUNRO

Carol MUNRO Obituary

Passed away peacefully on 25 September 2025, aged 79 years, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Daughter of the late Dulcie & William Hanright and little sister to Claude (Rosemary) and the late Enid (Bazil). A much loved wife of John Munro of Eltham and their four daughters: Cindy (Dave), Toni, Sonya (Phil), and Kelly (Chris). Carol's legacy lives on through her 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply. She was a devoted mother and nana not only to her own, but to many others who were welcomed into her heart and home. Carol will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She had a quiet strength, a kind heart, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She was selfless and courageous to the end. In accordance with Carol's wishes, and due to the challenges of gathering loved ones from afar, a private memorial will be held at a later date when her family can all be together again. The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the many messages, calls, meals, flowers, and acts of kindness received during this difficult time. Your love and support have brought great comfort.

Floss

Yesterday

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mum. I often had the pleasure of looking after your Mum in hospital. I loved how she was always so loving, kind and up beat, even though I knew how unwell she was. She never complained, was always grateful for my care. And it was beautiful to see, the liove that always surrounded her.
God bless you all and may you feel his presence. Love Floss(ED nurse)

Dear Munro whanau, I am so very sad to hear of the passing of your beautiful Mum. I have so many childhood memories of her chortling away while Kel and I got up to mischief, giving the best hugs and brushing my hair. She was sunshine in human form and it is reflected in all you beautiful women. Wishing you all so much love in your grief, Mel Ryan (Schurr)
