Catherine MCIVER Obituary
Catherine Marion (Cassie):
Peacefully at Chalmers Rest Home on 29th August 2019. Loved wife of the late William Charles (Bill) McIver. Loved mother of Janet, and David, mother-in-law of Gail, and grandmother of Campbell and Laura. In her 95th year. At Cassie's request a private cremation will be held. Many thanks to her long-term GP, Geoff Putt, Janet Mills and the wonderful staff at Chalmers Rest Home that cared for her, the staff of Ward 4a at Taranaki Base Hospital, and the many extended family members and friends that were a cherished part of Cassie's life.

The first day I meet u I knew I need to know u ur heart and spirit was amazing u wer caring and such a nice lady to get to know and hang out with I will forever have u in my heart u will be missed

I have extremely fond memories of visits with Cassie as a child. She made fairy bread and the best shortbread ever. She was my nanas dearest and closest friend (Gladys Roper). Cassie was a very kind and generous lady who looked after her friends. Such wonderful memories growing up. When my nana was sick she always helped out with cooking, visiting and phone calls and made sure my family was ok. Rest in peace with Bill.
