Chris was a wonderful father to sons Colin and John, an enduring competitor in his chosen sports and the best son-in-law you could wish for...He will not ever be forgotten...

My thoughts and condolences to Vicky and those who loved Chris. I rode with Chris down Ninety Mile Beach, through the North Island and for his last few days. I enjoyed his company. His humour and strength carried him well on his last journey. We finished the ride at Bluff on Sunday, toasting and remembering Chris along the way and at the end. Best memories.

My deepest condolences Vicky and to Chris's much loved ones. Chris was a pleasure and delight who often shared some entertaining tales from his adventures. Taken too soon and too young.

Met Chris when he first started riding. Always determined to get fitter, always great conversation and always there to help with a puncture or bring some back to catch the bunch when been dropped.
A softly spoken gentleman who was incredibly thoughtful of others.

Always good company on the bike, I'll miss his easy going friendship on the road. My sympathy to those Chris loved and to his friends and workmates who were part of his life. Way too young, with too much still to enjoy.
