I wish to offer my condolences to all in the family. I worked with Chris when he relieved in Palmerston North in the early 1980s, later when I moved to New Plymouth. My enduring memory is of his professional competence, along with unfailing generosity and humour. He is greatly missed.

Passed peacefully at Te Rangimarie Hospice on 8 August 2023, aged 66 years. Dearly loved brother of Clare and Jonathan, and Mary-Lee. Loved uncle of Stacey and Nick, Karla and Codie, Shaun and Megan, Tia and Caleb, Siobhan, and Great-uncle of Brooklyn, Avery and baby "Otto". "There are things in life we don't want to happen, but have to accept; things we don't want to know, but have to learn, and people we can't live without, but have to let go. " Farewell Chris, you are one of a kind and an inspiration to so many of us. Thank you for everything. We love you. xxx
