Claire was a dear friend and work colleague in the ICU at the Base Hospital. Always the joker and all staff including Drs having to watch out for the ever mischievious Claire.
Claire loved baking and sharing it with us at work but never the sweet tooth herself, but this didn't stop Claire indulging us with chocolate when we would pick her up in our retirments and catch up with our other colleagues.
We remember well the time we picked up Claire to take her to a nurses retirement function and she had not told Richard she would be out in the evening. On dropping Claire off at her flat in Lemon Street later that evening, we were greeted by friends/ family . Richard had phoned Claire earlier that evening and was unable to reach her so called the St Johns ambulance who with the help of Police entered her home through a very small window to find Claire was not home, and Claire being Claire as the eternal joker dined out on this event often.
Rest in peace Claire, finally you have solved the shoulder pain that has plagued you for the last few years. Go well Claire with the Love of all your Colleagues. Margaret
