Uncle Colin was a steady, generous presence in my life and in our family. He always had time for me, no matter what was going on, and he never hesitated to open his home to me when I needed a place to stay. I´m deeply grateful for the wisdom he shared, the guidance he offered, and the quiet strength he carried over the years. He was a good uncle in every sense of the word, and he will be greatly missed.
Much love and condolences to Lynette, Stephen, Claire, Peter and Penny.

It has been a privilege for me to have worked alongside and personally with Colin at the New Plymouth City Electricity Department for 35 years up until August 1992. Colin was highly regarded for his knowledge, skill and experience within the organization. One of his key positions as System Controller resulted in being available virtually on a 24-hour basis thus ensuring the electricity supply was maintained including during storm conditions. I recall when the New Plymouth City Streets were decorated with a mass of lighting displays during the Christmas season and Colin was instrumental in the initial design and implementation of these annual displays. During our staff reunion held in June 2025 Colin attended as an honored guest and we were able share and reminisce with him about the enjoyable times working at the New Plymouth City Electricity Department. Rest in peace dear friend.
