I miss you Auntie

Colleen and I stood next to one another at tai chi it just didn´t feel right if she wasn´t there next to me I.felt so relaxed and calm when she was there.

To Colleen's family my condolences. I have known Colleen since the 1950s. Ngamotu Beach. Her parents ,so welcoming to us the Maori kids from Tiger Town. Making champions of my cousins Tito sisters. Highland dancing and Tap dancing. Then when I married and we met again. Mike Hoskins corner store Waitara. Later my old work place Fitzroy Post Office. How talented and loving your family were to all us Maori kids. Erica Tito ,Georgina Tito your talented dancers. Plus us the cousins in awe of you as a dancing teacher. The match made in heaven when you and Mike courted. Nelson Street days Waitara. Wonderful memories. Arohanui Maria Stockman Perth W.A.

So sad to hear of Colleens passing. We met through our travels with Weir´s and have many happy memories of a beautiful lady, so loving and caring.
She will be so missed by her family whom she spoke of with so much love.

Mark and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Colleen´s passing. Lee, Ian Jon and all of the extended family, we send you our love at this sad time. I always have fond memories of both your mum and dad, they truly were soul mates, loved to hold hands your mum told me one day outside work, and that she missed your dad when they weren´t together, I walked away with a smile on my face and thought how cute that was of them. Well I bet if there is life after we leave this earth, they´ll have picked up right where they left off x

I was 7 years old and Colleen you were my tap dancing teacher. Fond memories and a,special time in my life. We went for years not meeting up until 4 years,ago you spotted me in the supermarket and remembered me. Amaizing. Rest in Peace Colleen and condolences to your family.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Colleen's passing. Such a beautiful lady in every way. It was a great privilege when she offered me her book to read "The dancing teacher and the petty officer ". She so loved her soul mate and family. May she rest in peace. Shirley Painter

Our paths crossed over the years, in differing circumstances. Colleen was a truly creative person on many levels. One memory was the gorgeous silk flower arrangement she did for me to show off the carved vase I had been given. I regret not following up on our last conversation, which was a request for a copy of her book about her romance "The dancing teacher and the Petty officer". I will always have very fond memories of Colleen.

Thinking of you all and sending our sincere condolences. Remembering all the years from her being the Librarian at WHS, to an amazing Florist but most of all a much loved wife, mother and friend to all those who were lucky enough to know her. She sure will be missed in and around Waitara.
