Cushla WATT Obituary
(formerly Powell, nee Joyce):
On Saturday 4 December 2021, Cushla passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Summerset Mountain View. Dearly loved wife of the late Allan Watt and the late Peter Powell. Treasured Mum, mother-in-law, "Nono" and Granny of Nicola and Peter Bishop, Brent, Marcia, Lola and Ivy; Rhys and Lynne Powell, Jeremy, Leah, Amy, Tom and Mabli; Lane and Sue Powell. Loved step-mum, mother-in-law and Granny Cushla to Karen Watt, Rusty Ritchie, Ben, Christine, Ella, Chelsea and Jack; Nick, Ebony and Valdyr; the late Susan Watt; Peter and Sheryl Watt, Max, Bella, Arden and Rupert; Phoebe; Patrick and Anne; Diane Watt, Thomas, Beth and Miles; Emma and Tabitha. Special thanks to Dr Kathy Gadd, Lisa from Hospice Taranaki and the staff at Summerset Mountain View. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated. A service to celebrate Cushla's life will be held at the New Plymouth Methodist Centre, Liardet Street, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 8 December 2021, at 11.00am. Those wishing to attend will need to show a valid My Vaccine Pass on entry.

So enjoyed seeing Cushla at Summerset and having wonderful banter these last few weeks. Very sad to hear Cushla passed but priveledged to be able to say goodbye last Friday.

Sad to read Cushla has passed away.. Great friend to PD & Trixie and our family - the friendship stems way back to the 70's (Urenui Beach and BBK Lions Club). My sincere condolences to the Powell & Watt family - I know you will miss her very much. RIP Cushla

To all Cushla' s family, I was saddened to read of Cushla's passing, and send my deepest
sympathy to you all.
I particularly remember the fun times we had in the Lions , especially FarmaRama where Cushla kept "stealing" Colin's cap, and the train trips to the Portaloos.!
A lovely lady who will be sadly missed.

Cushla will be missed by our family. She and Pam played golf, mahjong and went to garden group together for untold years. Our families have kept the contact going, so now there will be a big hole with Pam and Cushla gone.
