D'artagnan we hadn't known each other very long but you are such a wonderful guy I will miss you terribly and cherish what we had for ever.

Daniel (Dart) we held your funeral last Saturday and I saw you before closing your casket....It was then it hit me that you would never again call me or visit...It took me 18 minutes to read out the eulogy I prepared for you, and you would have been proud that I managed to hold it together long enough get through it without falling apart, and then help carry you on your final journey. Your brother Matthew, sister Sarah & I spent a considerable time together as we drove both ways to/from Nelson and that was quality time we all needed. We celebrated your life with family and friends after your service and you would have been proud of us all. We spent time with your youngest brother Adam on our way home, who is also grieving for you. The most difficult thing I have ever done was to let you go.....and I can only hope you have found peace. You will always hold a special place in my heart as you were my first born.....I miss you son and will always love you.....Love Dad

As a celebrant I often worked with Dart. We became good friends and I will miss him dreadfully. His talents and sensitivity will remain in my memory forever. My sincere condolences to all of Dart's family. We have never met but he has told me about you all with much pride and love.
