I have a lasting memory of Dan when we surfed Stent Road on Christmas Day, we took an old Mazda 808 he scored off a mate. Dan, Joe, myself and Eddie Kurau were the only ones out all morning, going wave for wave-dream session.

I´m so so sorry for your loss.
I´ve known Dan since I was 5 years old, and he was always the kindest person. So awesome on job sites, he was just so cool. Such a huge loss to the Fitz crew and all his loved ones. Dan the Man with a huge heart. You´re going to be missed so much buddy.

So absolutely sad to hear this news, Daniel was one of our Fitzroy School family many many years ago. He started with my sister Lisa and I was in Jeremy´s year. Mum (Cath) was at school with Jackie. Daniel always had such a spark for life and has gone way too soon.

I had the privilege to be with Dan as part of the emergency services team who attended on Sunday afternoon. As one of my colleagues commented - such a lot of people who came to grieve with Dan´s family was an indication of just how well loved he must have been. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Dan´s family and friends.
