Dan I found about this several months ago.
You were such a good guy to know and work with. Not only that but weeks before you really cheered me up through an extremely tough time. I´m thankful I knew you. I´ll never forget those good times. I hope you soul is free now.

My greatest condolences to all Daniels whanau and friends. Forever in our hearts. His soul lives on in the people he met, worked with and impacted. His personality and sense of humour was one of a kind. Daniel's ability to make you laugh, feel listened to and heard was one I will cherish forever. Not to mention his height was like living life on the top shelf - everything was within reach. His legacy will continue to live on in his children. May he watch over his loved ones to see their triumphs, trials and victories as they move through life one chapter at a time.
"The loss of a good soul is a reminder of how precious life truly is".
May Daniel be in everlasting peace and forever free x

I'm still struggling to believe you have left us Dan. Although I didn't know you as well as some at Southern Cross (as you were always in theatre, and I was usually outside it). I had a huge respect for your no-nonsense personality, exceptional skills, imposing presence (and I mean that in a good way), your sense of humour and for just being so darned... well...COOL!!! I know you will be missed, and I send my deepest condolences to your family and friends, especially your three children. To steal a quote from King Charles III, "May angels sing you to your rest." Rest well beautiful giraffe. Aroha nui, Anne.

Dan, no words can express what an awesome guy you were to work with. I feel so lucky that I got to work aside you on our Tauranga technician team, even if if was only a brief time, but have so many fond memories of you at work and socially. You have left a massive hole in many people's lives you touched. My heart goes out to your family and children. May you rest in peace xxx

To keep me grounded, I suppose, Dan once told me all we do is pass plastic and pick up rubbish. Well Dan, you did that with a certain style that can never be replaced. And I´ve never known anyone else throw the left in theatre coffee cups straight into the sharps bin! You leave a massive hole in many lives. Test easy now x

May your soul rest easy and find a mellow peace in our sky. Let us be reminded of your presence when clouds are covered in pink, purples and peach and the sun slips below the horizon.

As evening falls we will see your light scattered amongst the stars. Comforted by the glow we will know you are always with us.
Rest in Peace Dan.

I will always remember Dan towering above us all. He was part of our great team of Anaesthetic Techs in the Cardiothoracic and ENT theatres on Level 4, Auckland City hospital. He always struggled finding scrub pants that stayed up on his hips. Dan volunteered for a Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation mission to Fiji. His dedication, smiling face and impressive `manu´s´ off the wharf made him a memorable volunteer. Dan - you are forever in our hearts -Arohanui Brenda

I worked with Dan at Level 4 Cardiac Theatres Auckland Hospital. Such a inspiration to me as a Anaesthetic Technician Dan was so knowledgeable and past his experience onto me. Even though I was old enough to be his mother we developed a friendship, many a time we laughed and laughed.
Such a lovely young man. My heart goes out to his children and parents. Be in peace my friend.
