RIP mum. Dad will be so happy to have you by his side again. I came to see you to hold out an olive branch but unfortunately you weren´t doing well that day and things were left unsaid. We may not have agreed on some things but I´ve always loved you. You are my mum. There was always comfort in knowing you were close by but now you´ve begun a new journey. Be happy away from the debilitating illnesses you´ve suffered. Love Wendy

Passed away 23rd March, 2024, at Hawera Hospital. Loved Wife of the late Rex Ashley. Loved Sister of Lance and Ellen Smith (both dec), Shirley Campbell (dec), Edgar and Valda Smith, Don and Lois Smith, Valerie and Brian Potts, Keith (dec) and Shirley Smith, Trevor and Christine Smith.

Thinking of you all at this sad time, Daphne will be sorely missed by all the members of the Manaia Women´s Institute and also her lifetime contribution to the community. She was a talented lady.

Sad news Rex- memories of yesteryear come to the fore. Wonder how many 'catering times' she , you, and I, organised at Robt.Gibson over times now past. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Rest in peace Daphne- my condolences to you and yours Rex.
