Hi Jennings Family,
I would like to pass on our condolences from the Tulloch family. My dad (Peter) used to work with David at Newton King for a many years. I remember going to many a stock sale around Taranaki as a youngster and seeing David selling the stock and the vibe and banta around the farmers on the day.
Great to also to see the family at the rugby this afternoon.

Spotswood College Alumni Trust

Yesterday

The Spotswood College Alumni Trust wishes to extend its condolences to the extended Jennings family on the sad passing of David.
David was a great supporter of the College representing the school on the New Plymouth High Schools' Board of Governors from 1978-1980. For many years, David was involved with overseeing the stock for the PTA on the College farm.
David also coached the College's Rugby First XV for 5 years from 1977-1981. It is believed that the 1978 team has been the most successful in the College's history. A true gentleman. RIP David.

David was a reassuring friend t0 Bill when he started work at Waitara Freezing Works as Livestock Manager. Along with Peter and Barbara Grieve, David and Jennifer we met up each year, the girls walking, the blokes watching the races and rugby ; or travelling to Molesworth and the Able Tasman National Park. These catch up continued each year after Bill and Jennifers passing. The world was put to right each year, but somehow it needed readjusting the next year again!
Rest Well, David. Thank you for your true friendship

So Sad but a great life and he touched so many people. My wife Carol Managh remebers what a great friend he was to her parents and how he spent many weekends on the Managh farm. David has an amazing family which he was always so proud of. Our sincere condolences to Stephen, Kim and Ross and their partners. Carol, Gavin Matthew, Oliver and Edward Faull

David was one of the best stock agents for Newton King Ltd during my time working for the company in the 1950s. At was always a pleasure acting as a booking clerk at the Awakino Yard Sales, as he had already inspected the stock that would be presented on the day. This meant that he had already graded the animals and had decided which pens they would be placed in on arrival. His dry sense of humour made him very popular with all who met him.

Deepest sympathies to the Jennings family, I worked for David when he owned Professionals Real Estate, and he was a true professional, honest fair and someone to look up to and admire. I will never forget what he did for me. Rest in peace David.

I was a member of Spotswood 1st XV 1977-78. David was the coach and Stephen was also in the team. Great memories of my 2 years under David. He left a lasting impression on me and I often talk about my time on that team. David was old school and my favourite memory is him telling me "make sure you keep the ball in front of the forwards"! RIP David Regards Kevin Doherty
