NEWLAND, David Clifford. - On Friday, 11th April, 2014; aged 62 years. Much loved husband of Diane; and loved father and father-in-law of Rachel and Richard; and Nikki and Darren (U.K.). Loved grandfather of Michael. Loved brother-in-law of Mike Old (Hawera); Pete and Helen Old (New Plymouth); Mark and Jackie Old (New Plymouth). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Annette and Peter Green (Wellington); Christine Swanson (Masterton); Jocelyn Trim (Palmerston North); Wendy and Russell Stewart (Masterton). Great friend of Jun. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waikato would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 494 Grey Street, Hamilton East, on Wednesday, 16th April, 2014, at 1.30pm. Followed by private cremation. All messages to the "Newland Family", c/- 717 Grey Street, Claudelands, Hamilton 3210.

Dearest Di I am so sorry for your loss. I only heard the sad news today. Dave was really good to me when I was a new recruit on section. I will remember him with that happy grin and nothing is too much trouble attitude to life. Lots of love X
