Mr Ogier was a very special person and a wonderful neighbour to our family for many years. I will remember him as kind, gentle and hardworking. When I was young he, with either Scratch or Digby by his side, would always open the door to me with a smile whenever I followed Rachelle over to see Hillary (which was often)!

I am very sad and sorry to hear of his passing, but am equally grateful that I had the chance to spend time with him and have a cup of tea with both Mr and Mrs Ogier last year at their Fairfax Terrace home.

Sending love and prayers to all of the Ogier family at this very sad time. Xxx Natalie Crowe.

So sorry, Tricia, to learn that David had died - our good neighbour in Fairfax Terrace for many years. It was so gratifying to learn that he agreed with me that the ability to spell didn't correlate with intelligence!
