David WHITEHEAD Obituary
Passed peacefully on Wednesday 22 December 2021, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Maureen and best friend of Patsy. Loved dad of Kerry and Dale Thompson and Mike and Karen. Loved granddad of Drew and Thaïs, Brydie, and great-granddad to Lucas and Lottie. Messages may be sent to the Whitehead Family, c/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth, or online at wabraham.co.nz In lieu of flowers donations to the New Plymouth Stroke Support Trust would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for David will be held in The Chapel Of W. Abraham, 366 Devon St East, New Plymouth, on Friday, 24 December 2021 at 10.00am, followed by the Interment at Awanui Cemetery. Please note that Vaccination Passes will be required to attend this service. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at wabraham.co.nz/webcasting/main-chapel.

That orange kayak that Dad made was something alright.... Remember paddling it down the stream one day, while camping at Woolleys Bay, a actually making it out past the surf...... getting it back to the beach again was a hair raising experience...... at least you would have found me if the thing had flipped, being bright orange and all......
