Desrae NGATAI Obituary
25 April 1972 - 3 March 2021
We are sad to announce that our dear Desrae passed away at Arohanui Hospice after a long fight, aged 48. Daughter of Roz and Michael Ngatai, sister to David and Michael Jr. Cherished partner of Chris and loving mother of Nikaia. Much loved daughter-in-law to the Higson family (Scotland). A truly adored friend, aunty, niece, and cousin. Desrae is lying in state at her home at 278 Te Waka Road õtaki. Friends and family are welcomed to come visit her. On Saturday afternoon Desrae will arrive at õwae marae, Waitara. Her nehu / funeral service will take place on Sunday 11am with burial at Mangaiti urupã Waitara.
Haere ki tou maunga, e Desy, ki ngã ringa tüwhera a õ tãtou üpuna. Moe mai rã, e te rangatira.

Arohanui Roz and Mike was shocked to read this today. I give you both and the whanau my condolences. Too young , talented Desrea so so sad. Hugs only wish I could be with you to tautoko you all.

Dearest Bub and Mike, it is with great sadness I learned of Desrae's passing. Sending prayers and Aroha to you both, David and Michael Jnr and to Desrae's partner and daughter.
I can't begin to know the pain of losing your beautiful daughter, partner, mama, sister.
Fly free dearest Desrae, I have often thought about you and wondered where you were.
