Don of Don's at peace, thinking of the family as you celebrate his life.

January 29, 2023

We love Don! The Wilson's have so many fabulous memories of growing up on our neighbouring farm, families growing up together with our dads working together. Don was one of our dads, a fabulous man, literally a pillar of the community and a tremendous support to my father and us, a mighty tree of the forest, but humble and loving at the same time. It's a strange sensation to think of him not here now, as one of those people who always was. Don is a one of a kind man who is lived on through his large progeny, safe I know, in the knowledge that his qualities and philosophies live on through them. While very much missed he will forever be Don to me, a large safe person in our world, as a lad the cheeky smile beckoning me aboard the red Bedford school bus, the type of person you'd want as your neighbour and friend. You and Eila were some of my parents best friends and I honour you for being there for them in particular, -and coming to the other end of the country to celebrate with them at our wedding. We will always remember you and celebrate who you are. Hamish (McDamish, McDermott McDoo), Petra, Venetia, Jude & Teddy Wilson.
