I have only good memories of Don who was with me at Teachers college in Wellington in 1963. I was only looking at his photo in the college magazine yesterday and am happy to share it. I am pleased and not surprised that he went on to a very successful career in education. Ernie Rosenthal Wellington

I can´t believe Mr Plant has passed. He was my teacher at Keith street school Wanganui when I was 7 ( i´m now 58) and onwards. He was also great friends with my late parents Lorraine and Henk Bothof, formerly Wanganui. He will be sadly missed.
He was a wonderful teacher and just a really nice man. RIP Mr Plant (Don),as he insisted I call him when we occasionally met at the supermarket. That was very hard to do after so many years of calling him "Sir or Mr" ! Best teacher ever all my love, Tina

I have nothing but good memories of Don over the past five years. He was kind, joyful, and quick with a joke or impression. He will be dearly missed and I know his memory will be cherished by all that knew him and his joie de vivre lives on in his three wonderful children.
