YOUNG, Eileen Theresa
(nee Easton):
Died peacefully on April 28, 2017, at Tainui Village, New Plymouth. Aged 79 years. Loving and loved mother of Rod and Susan (Auckland), Maree and David (New Plymouth), and Denise and Nathan (New Plymouth). Proud nana and great-nana of Sarah, Willem, Ben, Paige, and Flynn. Loved daughter of the late William and Agnes Easton and sister of the late Harold, Bill, Mary, Bernard, and Arthur. Loved aunty to all her nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank all the staff at Tainui Village for their loving care of Eileen, and also to Dr Janet Mills for going the extra mile in her care of Eileen. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated and can be left in the Church foyer. Eileen will be at 26 Cornwall Street, New Plymouth, from 12 noon today. Rosary will be recited at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Clinton Street, Fitzroy, on Sunday April 30, 2017, at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Clinton Street, Fitzroy, on Monday May 1, 2017, at 1.30pm followed by interment at the Waitara Cemetery.

I met Eileen through Kathy, a very kind gentle lady, made yummy apple pies for our gathering. My thoughts are with her family. Rip Eileen.

Kind and gentle soul, with a witty and cheeky sense of humour. The journey was tough, but solace was found in music and the love of her family, which surrounded and comforted her. Tainui Village residents & staff extend their sympathy to Eileen’s family.
