What a wonderful lady Elsie was & she had the most brilliant memory. It was always a pleasure calling on Elsie during my years at the Annie Brydon Village. She enjoyed a telephone call on her birthdays & when I was back in Hawera it was nice to call in & catch up with her.

I am sorry to read of Elsie's passing. I will miss my regular visits with her. Every conversation started the same. "How are you Elsie?" "Sick in bed" she would say then a wee giggle. RIP Elsie.

Elsie certainly lived a long life. I remember the gatherings at your little Hurleyville house. Everyone packed in with music, singing, booze and fun. Those
were the days!!!!!!!

My condolences to the Hurley/Black family. It was a pleasure to know and care for Elsie in her later years. She was a no nonsense woman who loved her family. She will be missed.
