Francis HILL Obituary
After a courageous, long fought battle, Francis (Fanny) passed away on Tuesday 16th January 2024, aged 72 years. Dearly loved Husband of the late Laraine & treasured Partner of Dianne. Loving Father & Father-in-law of Melissa & Doug, Ryan & Nini, Laurie & Dan, and Thomas. The very best Poppa of Ainslee, Cooper, George, Charlie, Alby & Jack. A very special friend to so many. He leaves a huge hole in so many people's lives.
"A fighter to the very end."
Francis being a 'no fuss' kind of guy organised a private service that took place yesterday. His final resting place is beside Laraine at the Maxwell Cemetery. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Hospice Whanganui for your loving care & support of Francis and Family.
Poppa Francis, we will all miss you! Thank you for being there for us all.

Francis, thank you for all your support at different times over the years, Friday meant so much to Jackie & l ( your sisters). Rest in peace & no more pain. Our thoughts are with Dianne & your children & grandchildren.

Dianne and family,
My sincere condolences on the sad passing of Francis. It was always a delight to catch up with you both on your visits to Palmy, hearing Francis and Malcolm chin wagging about their rugby days at NPBH, whilst you and I sorted the real world.
I know Francis will be sadly missed by many.

Please accept our Deepest Sympathy in the sad passing of Francis. Our early contact was at NPBHS when Francis and Richard were in the First XV. He would come down in weekends to the dairy farm at Patea, milking cows.
