Garry WHALEN Obituary

Peacefully passed away on Sunday, 6th July 2025, at Taranaki Base Hospital, aged 89 years. Reunited with his very much-loved wife Margaret of 57 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Bernadette and Barry Hoy (Sydney), and David (Sarina, Australia). Loved poppa of Alexander and Haylie, Mackenzie; Ryan, Peyton, and Bailey. Family and friends are warmly welcomed to attend a service of farewell and celebration for Garry at the Tower Bowling Club, High Street, Hawera on Saturday, 12th July, 2025, commencing at 11.00am, after which Garry will be laid to rest with Margaret at the Hawera Cemetery. So sorry to hear of Garry's passing. First knew Garry well when I worked with him at his Food market in Nolantown approx 1970/1. Spent much time on rugby, racing and playing snooker.
