We will remember Gary in so many ways as we stand on the front porch he made for us, look at the tree trunks he carved like totem poles, and picture him playing next door in his outdoor carpenter area. We will miss how he brightened the neighborhood each summer and was truly a great friend to us all. Our hearts are with Gary's family during this time of remembrance.

Remembering some happy holidays spent at Lake Rotoiti and Plummers Point. Gary was a wonderful help when we were building our respective Lockwoods and garage in New Plymouth all those years ago. A great talent lost.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family with Gary's passing. I worked with Gary at the New Plymouth Power Station and found him a person with energy, ideas and a smile to help convince you of his latest suggestion. His organisation of the 25th anniversary of the power station opening was a testament to his ability to get people together....again with a smile..many on that occasion.

Although I only met Gary a few times in Colorado Springs on my visits from Toronto, Canada. I will remember his warm smile and sense of humour, especially when joining all 'the girls' for their morning hike in Garden of the Gods. I feel a smile coming on remembering Gary and his acts of kindness.
Rest in peace. Cathy

There was no one in the whole world like Gary, and we will miss him so very much. We will cherish our memories of his visits to Guffey, riding his dirt bike on mountain trails, tinkering in Marion's shop for hours on end, catching up with the locals at Rita's Place or the Freshwater Saloon. We will frame this picture and hang it in a place of honor in The Shed for you, Gary. Your signature is still carved in the door post, as is Ngaire's. Always loved, never forgotten.
