To Susie and Family, Nicole and Family, and Brent and Family,
Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your dear Father, Father in Law and Grandfather George. We have such special memories of the times we spent with George and Margaret and later with their family. Margaret was a very close friend of mine (Ann) during our days working at the Wallaceville Animal Research Centre in Upper Hutt in the 1960's. Rod and Margaret shared the same Chemistry lectures. Thank you George for your deep understanding which gave us the opportunity to be with you and your family when Margaret passed. You were a 'Tower of Strength' for Margaret and all present at that important time. Looking after your family was always important to you and Margaret. Margaret would be proud of the way her Family carried on after her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. 'Rest in Peace' George.

I have many fond memories of time spent with the Mattocks at Hurford Road, Omata, and at Oakura Beach. Farming, milking, and most of all riding horses with Suzy, with George teaching us to ride. Thinking of you all. Carmen Innes (nee Walsh).

Fond memories of George and Margaret when we share milked on Hurford Road. Always a welcome at their happy home. The get togethers we used to have at each others homes with all the neighbours. Daughter Tina spent many happy times there when she used to ride her horse up to their place. Always a gentleman George. May you rest in peace with Margaret. Condolences to his family from the Hall family, Sandra, Trent, Tina and Lisa

George had so many interests and loved them all . He adored his family. At Hurford Road he led the way to continue district parties at The Hurford Road hall . Fund raising events raised money for a new second hand piano for the Hall, which He played many times . He was a very Community minded person .His family was missed when they moved to Matamata , but never forgotten . With sympathy and love from Terry and Sue Walsh
