Jill so sorry to read about George, have only just seen it, you will be so lost without him,

Good man George,
Foundation and highly respected member of the Meremere supporters division of the mighty Hawera Rugby Club. He was never short of a word of advice on your abilities as a player after the game over a beer or two. Most of his words were pretty short and to the point, but always delivered with the greatest of intentions.
George was a great club man as well, willing to help and get stuck in and very much enjoyed the friendships he made along the way, always good for a yarn and a bit of fun over a beer.
Many sports clubs these days would love to have more "Georges" around. Rest in peace old boy

George & I have had a few 'conversations' as I've popped in & out of Annie Brydon. I've also enjoyed the moments you & I caught up with one another.
