Dear Grandad
You may have left us but you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for being an awesome grandad and for the fun times we had, as well as all the animal DVDs and books; I will cherish them forever. I promise to buy something special with my birthday money you gave me. I miss you so much, grandad. Please give a big hug to grandma and uncle Andrew from me.

Dear George
It's been a long month since we said goodbye
And I wish you were here once again by our sides
George, I hear your voice, also Andrew and Viv
And hope there is comfort to you all I can give
I'll always listen to those who are dear
And I'll take care of Julie and Luke, never fear
So keep close to us three and guide us with love
From your sanctuary there in the clouds up above.
Until we see you again.
Love Jimmy

Well, dad, it's been over a month now since you slipped away. I will always treasure our last days together, your beautiful blue eyes looking into mine. I hope you felt safe and loved, with Jimmy, Luke and I with you on your final journey. Thank you for visiting!! Impressive that you remembered my special whispers!! We have you safe here with us, until I feel ready to finally let you go. Thanks for being a superb dad - the best, and no, you were never a burden.
Love to my darling Mum and special bro' Andrew. Stay close to us, as we will to you all. Love you forever, until we meet again.

Dearest Mr Smith,
I always called you that rather than George as my parents told me it was the polite thing to do, and although you said I could call you George, I never actually could!
Something I want you to know is that my father, who as you know, didn't suffer fools - and neither did you, always said you were 'a good bloke' and had a lot of respect for you. And I always saw a lot of similarities between you and my dad.
Mr Smith, I know how you missed your beloved Viv so very much. You both adored each other and made such a lovely couple. So I am happy that you can now be together again, reunited, and also have Andrew with you too.
But I am sad too, as you have left behind your beautiful daughter Julie, who I know made you so proud. Not only over the years as she was growing up, but also when we were brought together to celebrate your life. She spoke so fondly of her beloved dad and I know you would have been smiling from above. And your caring son-in-law Jimmy, who would have done anything for you, cooking delicious meals for you and the family, sharing his love by bringing his loved ones together. And your adoring and adored grandson, Luke. But he wore your special hat when we said our goodbyes, and you know that that hat's going to stay with Luke forever, and he'll proudly wear it in memory of his beloved Grandad Whiskers.
Mr Smith and Mrs Smith, thank you for always making me feel so welcome in your home. It was always a warm and inviting home, no matter where you were living. That's something I remember well and I still see you smiling Mrs Smith.
Bless you both, reunited in Heaven.
And to Julie, Jimmy and Luke, my condolences at losing two very special people, but know that they are happy and together again.
Hugs, Sandy (with Jessica and Adrian) xox

Sincere condolences to Julie, Jim and Luke from all of us here in Canada. George will be sadly missed both by immediate family and his extended family, but leaves behind many happy memories and will not be forgotten.

Hi Julie, Jimmy and Luke: Back in 1990 I had the good fortune to work in New Zealand with Julie. A foreign country for me being from the United States. Well Julie invited me to her "mum and dads" place for dinner many times. I never had scones before and Julie's mum made the best scones. George was such a lovely man. Good looking man!!! All of us went to the beach many times and I thought that a hoot as it was winter time where I was from. George lived a good life. His family will miss him greatly and I will miss getting a Xmas card from him even after all these years we kept in touch. RIP Jay Follmer

To Julie and Luke,
Sincere condolences to you both. Life is full of missed opportunities and I cannot believe that George and I are first cousins and yet I never met him. My Dad and George's Mum brother and sister. I spent many an hour at their Paynters Ave home when a child but George was 18 years older than myself.
My Dad is in Norfolk Lodge and spends his time looking at a beautiful photo of George,Julie and Luke. Thank you for such kindness in putting this there for Dad. Hopefully one day we may meet.
Much Love from Robert and Jennifer Topless, 7 Prita Lane RD1 Whakatane 3191.

Well dad, now you're at rest and will be with Andrew, flying free to reunite with mum and our family who has gone before. Please don't worry about us - we are survivors! Watch over Luke as he grows up and, with mum, please be his guardian angels. We will always love the three of you and know we were loved back. Remember to come visit, as planned! Love Julie xxx
