Our sincere condolences to the Chong family from Hospice Taranaki Inc. Michael played a key part in establishing our service over 30 years ago as the first treasurer of our Foundation. He was instrumental in organising many of the early community fund raising events that helped create our service.
We acknowledge Michael's wide range of contributions that have helped set up our hospice for what it is today.

So pleased that I was able to spend time with Michael a couple of eeeks ago chewing the fat which he always did very well about many things but mainly Hospice and golf. He was so easy to be friends with and I and his golfing cronies from Wairakei days and Ngamotu in all weathers will miss him as he was one of life´s true characters . Feeling sad for you, Marie and family for your loss.

It was in today´s internet Legacy summary of the Taranaki Daily News that I saw the notice of the very recent death of Gerald Chong.
To all the family and especially Craig whom I remember from those far off days at FDMC I extend my sincere sympathy on his passing.
With his death, the final curtain comes down on so much of your own lives leaving I trust many happy memories.
May the Good Lord now welcome him Gerald home with outstretched arms, and with may he be forever at peace.
