Gladys Norma:
Peacefully at Summerset Retirement Village with family present, on Thursday 22 June 2017, in her 96th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Allan. Most cherished mother and mother-in-law of Robert and Lyn (New Plymouth), Beverley and Bernard Smart (New Plymouth), Ken and Bernadette (Hamilton), Jocelyn and Murray Cameron (Nelson), Gerald and Lorraine (New Plymouth), Paul and Bernadette (New Plymouth), Margaret and Rob Lord (New Plymouth), Noeleen and Wally Gillum (New Plymouth), Dez (Wellington), Ian (Stratford), Stephen and Joan (Melbourne). Treasured Grandma of her 34 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. All messages to 3c Anderson Way, Highlands Park, New Plymouth 4312. Requiem Mass for Gladys will be celebrated at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Kaponga, on Monday 26 June 2017 at 11.00am, thereafter to the RSA section of Kaponga Cemetery.

We wish to pass on our condolences to you both & your children & their partners & grandchildren at the loss of your Mum, mum-in-law. Grandmother & grt-g'mother. & the McCormack family. She was a lovely lady and I remember her most from our times going to church in Kaponga. You will all miss her. She is now at rest & off to join your Dad. To all the McCormack family I would like, through the use of the Guest Book made available in the Taranaki Daily News, to express my sympathy on the recent death of your mother Gladys.
Your parents must have been very proud of their family. Not too many can boast of so having many grandchildren and great grandchildren. How richly blessed were Allan and Gladys.
My own first contact with the family was with Gerald in 1969, and now that seems such a long time ago and the farm on the upper part of the Rowan.
As the children of Allan and Gladys you have so much for which to be grateful in such wonderful and caring parents.
May the Good Lord welcome her home with outstretched arms.
